2. What Data We Collect

We collect personal data only when you choose to contact us. This includes:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number
  • Your property address or postcode (to provide an accurate quote)
  • A description of your project

We also collect anonymous usage data through Google Analytics (page views, general location, device type) to help us improve the website. This data does not identify you personally.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data solely to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and provide a free no-obligation quote
  • Arrange a site visit at a time that suits you
  • Communicate with you about your project

We do not use your data for marketing emails, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone other than our own team members who need it to fulfil your request.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests — specifically, to respond to your request for a quote — and, where applicable, to fulfil a contract with you for the provision of paving services.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

If you enquire but do not proceed with a job, we will retain your contact details for up to 12 months and then securely delete them.

If you become a customer, we keep records of your project (including your contact details and address) for up to 7 years for accounting and warranty purposes, in line with HMRC requirements.

6. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Restriction — ask us to stop processing your data in certain circumstances
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests

To exercise any of these rights, email us at Bristolandgloucesterpaving@outlook.com. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled.

7. Cookies

This website uses cookies in the following ways:

  • Google Analytics — anonymous traffic analysis to help us understand how visitors use the site. You can opt out via Google's opt-out tool.
  • Functional cookies — used to remember your preferences during a session. These expire when you close your browser.

8. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate this website:

  • Vercel — website hosting (EU/US infrastructure)
  • Supabase — secure database for portfolio photos
  • Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics

Each service has its own privacy policy and operates under UK/EU GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store payment card details — all transactions, if applicable, are handled by regulated payment processors.
